What My Nine saves

Captain accounts contain your name, email, password hash, optional phone number and community, and account consent. A captain’s nine contains names, optional contact details, voting commitments, voting plans, follow-up dates, notes, and consent timestamps.

Who can see it

Each captain can see and manage their own nine. People joining through an invitation share their submitted details with that captain. Site operators with database access can also access these records. Your nine is not a public directory.

Ask first. Keep it practical.

Captains must have permission before adding someone’s details. Record only what you need to help them participate. Do not save identification documents, sensitive personal information, party preferences, or how someone voted. “Voted” is a self-reported status, not an official voting record.

Updating or removing details

Ask your captain to correct or remove your details. Captains can edit and remove people from their dashboard. Account details can be updated under My account. Captains can delete their account and its saved voter details on this website or under Account in the My Nine app.

Cookies and emails

My Nine uses a session cookie to keep you logged in and protect forms. It sends account verification and password reset emails using the existing Battle For Alberta email infrastructure. Sharing an invitation link does not automatically email or text anyone.

Android and iOS apps

The apps use the same My Nine accounts and records. Login tokens and voter details are held in app memory, not saved in browser storage. App sessions expire after twelve hours and are invalidated when you reset your password or delete your account. Optional check-in reminders are scheduled on your device; their notification text does not contain voter names or contact details. Invitation sharing opens your device’s share sheet and only sends through an app you choose.

About voter registration

My Nine is an organizing tool. Signing up does not register you with an election authority, establish eligibility, or verify that someone has voted. Use your election authority’s official information for registration, voting dates, locations, and requirements.
